How to Restart Your Amazon Workspace
Restarting your Amazon Workspace can help:
- If the Workspace freezes up with a black or green screen
- If there are unusual glitches or application behaviors that suddenly occur
- If only you are having issues with a particular application
Method 1:
- Move the mouse cursor to the top left corner of the screen.
- Click Amazon Workspaces
- Click Restart WorkSpace

- Click Restart

Method 2:
- Navigate to your Desktop; minimize or close applications OR press the hotkey Windows + D
- Double click the Restart Workspace icon

After Restarting Workspace:
- Close the Workspace window
- Wait ~5 minutes and try logging back in to your Amazon Workspace
- If the Workspace window says "Unknown Error Occurred" wait another 5 minutes and try again

- Click Cancel on the Shutdown Event Tracker

- Check if the issue has gone away
If The Issue Doesn't Go Away:
- Open a helpdesk ticket describing the issue
- Note that you have "Restarted your Workspace"
